The Portsmouth Schools Foundation Innovator Grant provides up to $500 in seed funding for creative, classroom-based projects that directly benefit Portsmouth Public Schools students. Up to eight grants will be awarded for the 2026–27 school year.

• Who may apply: All PPS teachers and staff. Limit of 2 applications per Project Director.

• Application window: September 1 – November 3, 2026, 4:00 PM

• Award notifications: December 18, 2026

• Blind scoring: Please do not include your name or your school's name anywhere in the Project Narrative section (Section 3). Identifying information is collected separately in Section 1.

• Applications are evaluated on: impact on critical needs, creativity/innovation, clarity of objectives, clarity of budget, cost-effectiveness, evaluation plan, and overall quality of the application.

•  PSF is especially interested in projects with the potential for city-wide duplication across PPS.
